GOODWELL — Tuesday morning slack finished the second go-round of the 2016 CNFR. Bronc riders Shade Etbauer and Jake Finlay both covered their horses. Finlay placed 10th with a score of 67.5 followed closely by Etbauer who had a 66.

All three of the OPSU bronc riders have covered and are sitting well in the average leading up to the third round. Bareback rider Logan Patterson also put together a solid ride with a score of 67 which just fell short of making it into the top ten. Josh Frost had some tough luck and did not make the eight seconds on his second bull.

On the timed event side of the arena, Caleb Bullock had a smooth run in the tie-down roping with a 9.6. Bullock found himself in the top ten for the second time. Shade Etbauer was an 11.1 in the same event. Barrel racer Kaylee Burnett made another smooth run and improved her time from the first round.

Tuesday night started the third round. OPSU had three Aggies up in the performance. Logan Patterson made a solid ride with a score of 72 which is placing second in the round. Patterson moved to the lead in the average with 212.5 points. Shade Etbauer had some tough luck and missed his calf. Kaylee Burnett turned in her fastest time of the week with a 14.39.

The third round continues with performances Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night. The Wednesday night performance features bull rider Josh Frost and breakaway roper Lucy Lawson. A full list of results can be found at cnfr.com.
