Brackets set for MIAA Tennis Championships

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The seedings and brackets are set for the 2018 MIAA Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships.  Both events will be held at the Dillon Tennis Center in Lincoln, Nebraska on April 16 -18, 2018.

Four teams advanced to the championship on the men’s side.  The tournament will begin with two semifinal matches on Tuesday, April 17 beginning at 8 a.m. Top-seeded Southwest Baptist will face fourth seed Northwest Missouri. In the other match, the second-seeded Nebraska Kearney will face third seed, Washburn.

On the women’s side, eight teams advanced to the championship and the tournament will begin with four quarterfinal matches on Monday, April 16. The two morning matches will begin at 8 a.m. with top seed Northeastern State facing the eighth-seeded Missouri Western.  In the other match, the second seed Central Oklahoma will take on the seventh seed Lindenwood.

Two other quarterfinal matches will be held later in the day on Monday, April 16 beginning at 6 p.m.  The fourth seed Washburn will face the five-seed Northwest Missouri and in the other match, the third seed Southwest Baptist will take on the sixth-seeded Nebraska Kearney.
