INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Despite missing the final four games of the 2017-18 season due to injury, East Central University women’s basketball junior Lakin Preisner has claimed the 2017-18 NCAA DII Statistical Leader title in Free-Throw Percentage.
The Americus, Kan., native earned the title hitting 65 of her 68 free-throw attempts for a 95.6 percentage for the season. She also averaged 13.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, with 31 assists, 41 steals and nine blocks in her first season with the Tigers. She shot 42.5 (102-240) percent from the floor and 39.1 (43-110) from beyond the arc.
For her efforts Preisner was one of two ECU players to be named to the 2017-18 All-Great American Conference Honorable Mention team.
