The Southwestern Oklahoma State University athletic department is welcoming SWOSU alumni and friends for a farewell event for Rankin Williams Fieldhouse on Saturday, Nov. 9.
Rankin Williams Fieldhouse, which opened in 1957, will be replaced by the SWOSU Event Center, which is slated to open this fall. The building has housed the SWOSU basketball and volleyball teams along with various other events since its opening.
Before moving to the Event Center, both Bulldog basketball teams will play the annual SWOSU Classic in Rankin Williams Fieldhouse, providing an opportunity to welcome back some of the best players, teams, coaches and cheerleaders to ever represent Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
The women’s team will face Colorado Mesa at 5:30 pm while the men host Angelo State at 7:30 pm. Further details about the event will be announced during the fall.
