Northwestern athletic director Andrew Carter is taking a similar post at Minot State University.
It was released by the Minot State athletic department that Carter had been selected as the next athletic director, replacing Rick Hedberg who accepted the Vice President for Advancement position.
Carter has been the athletic director at Northwestern since the summer of 2011. He helped guide the Rangers through the transition from the NAIA to NCAA Division II.
Minot State University is a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and NCAA Division II. The NSIC is also in the Central Region, along with the Great American Conference, of which Northwestern is a member.
