OC men’s golf still atop leaderboard after Day 2 of NCAA super regional

The Eagles are still flying above the crowd in Las Cruces, N.M. And they did it on Tuesday with the same score they posted on Monday.

After the second round of the NCAA West/South Central super regional, Oklahoma Christian is again at the top of the leaderboard. The Eagles shot 286, matching the 286 from Round 1 and own a narrow one stroke lead over Chico State.

Sam Johnston also repeated his performance from the day before with a 70 and is tied for second place individually.

Also in Las Cruces, Cameron slipped two spots and is now for 14th place. Cullen Stahl took four strokes off his score from Monday and shot a 70, leading the way for the Aggies.

In Allendale, Mich., Southeastern slipped one spot to third in the Midwest/Central super regional. The Savage Storm are in at 591 for two days and trail second round leader Central Missouri (588) by only three strokes.

Zach James shot a 72 on Day 2 and with a 141 overall is tied for the individual lead with James Inman from Bellarmine (Ky.)

Central dropped to eighth place with Russ Purser, Logan Gray and Eli Armstrong each totaling a 150 after two days.

Southwestern dropped eight spots to 17th. Jake Duvall led the Bulldogs again with a 75 and is in at 148 overall.

And Northeastern State’s Tate Williamson followed a 68 on Day 1 with a 78 on Day 2 and is now tied for 11th individually.
