From the NCAA to the NAIA, Oklahoma teams are getting recognition in the national polls.  Here’s the breakdown:

NCAA DIVISION IOSB-Logo-Gradient-Green

WOMEN

Oklahoma State (12-1) – No. 15
Fell two spots after its first loss of the season Saturday.  The Cowgirls are on the road this week at Kansas State (Wednesday) and at No. 11 Iowa State (Saturday).

Oklahoma (10-6) – RV
Dropped out of the top 25 following an OT loss to Iowa State.  The Sooners lost Wednesday morning, again in overtime, at Texas and host Kansas State on this Saturday.

MEN

Oklahoma State (11-2) – AP No. 11, Coaches Poll No. 12
Had a five-game winning streak stopped with loss at Kansas State on Jan. 4.  OSU hosts Texas (Wednesday) and travels to West Virginia (Saturday) this week.

Oklahoma (12-2) – RV in both polls
Opened the new year with a win at Texas – first win in Austin in nine tries.  This week has two top 25 opponents at home, hosting No. 18/20 Kansas (Wednesday) and No. 9/7 Iowa State (Saturday).

NCAA DIVISION II

MEN

Northeastern State (9-2) – RV
Riding a five-game winning streak.  NSU will be in the Event Center for its two games this week – against Southwest Baptist (Thursday) and Missouri Southern (Saturday).

NAIA

WOMEN

Oklahoma City (6-1) – No. 3
Fell one spot from the last poll.  OCU won at home against Northwood on Monday and has two more SAC contests this week, hosting John Brown (Thursday) and at St. Gregory’s (Saturday).

• Oklahoma Baptist (10-2) – No. 7
Moved up two spots from previous poll.  Defeated Mid-America Christian Tuesday night and will travel to Lubbock to face Wayland Baptist on Thursday.

• Mid-Amercia Christian (10-4) – RV
Two points out of top 25 and first ranking in team history.  Lost at Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday night and will go on the road for the third straight time with a trip to Wayland Baptist on Saturday.

MEN

St. Gregory’s (11-1)
Highest ranking in team history.  SGU has won three straight and travels to Bethany to Southwestern Christian on Thursday and hosts Oklahoma City on Saturday.

Mid-America Christian (8-3) – No. 18
Also highest ranking in team history.  4-1 in SAC play with a win at Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday night and travels to Wayland Baptist on Satuday.

Oklahoma Baptist (7-6) – RV
Record of 1-2 so far in 2014.  Lost to MACU on Tuesday night at will be on the road at Wayland Baptist on Thursday.
