ORU to take part in Bracketbuster Weekend

It’s February and it’s time for made-for-TV college basketball scheduling.

NCAA Tournament hopefuls from a pool of 122 teams in what are affectionately – or maybe not so affectionately – known as mid-major conferences are chosen to take part in nationally televised games with an opportunity to shine on a big stage.

Oral Roberts is among those chosen to participate this year.  The Golden Eagles (14-8, 9-1 Southland) are matched up with Weber State (15-5, 10-2 Big Sky) and will play Saturday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mabee Center.

These two teams have met four previous times and have split with each team winning twice.

The Bracket Buster programming is now in its 11th season and has grown to the point of corporate sponsorship.  The Ramada Worldwide Bracketbusters event will feature 13 games over two days and will be broadcast on ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3.
