OU WBB moves up in AP Poll after wins to open Big 12 schedule

The Oklahoma Sooners got off to a good start in league play, beating Kansas and TCU, and moved up the rankings in this week’s AP Top 25 Women’s Basketball Poll.

OU (11-3 2-0 Big 12) moved up four spot and is tied with California for No. 20 in the latest ranking.

Five Big 12 teams are listed in the Top 25, led by Baylor (13-1) at No. 2

And until Connecticut loses – which may be never again – the Huskies remain in atop the poll.

Texas (8-4) is in at No. 15, West Virginia (13-1) dropped to No. 17 following its first loss of the year to Kansas State (11-3), who slid into the poll at No. 25.

Oklahoma State also received votes this week.
