Union City falls to Arapaho-Butler

The Union City Tigers opened the second half of the season in an away game against Arapaho-Butler.

Union City fell behind in the first quarter of the game, 15-3. But the Tigers fought back in the second quarter, outscoring the Indians, 10-8, putting the score at 23-13 at the half.

In the third, Union City guard (Jr.) Xavier Morales kept Indians defense on their toes by putting up eight out of the 10 Tiger points.

Blake Nelson, a senior who is returning from a torn meniscus, put up his first three-pointer of the season. Xavier Morales, a junior, has also returned from being a transfer earlier in the year.

Also set to return on Thursday will be senior Joey Lorenzen and junior Colby Combs

The Union City Tigers will go head-to-head Thursday at 5:30 p.m. against Fargo-Gage in the Hammon Warrior Classic.
