Northwestern softball coach Charlie Zeilman has resigned his position as the lead man of the program effectively, according to the NWOSU athletic website.
Zeilman was in his second season as the head softball coach in Alva. The Rangers are 2-14 on the 2017 season and have lost nine consecutive games, including the four-game series with Arkansas Tech to open the Great American Conference portion of the schedule.
Current assistant coach Jill Webb will serve as acting head coach for the remainder of the season.
