SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist football head coach Chris Jensen has announced the signings of 34 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent. The 2022 football signing class includes signees from primarily Oklahoma (18) and Texas (14). The final two commitments hail from the state of Arkansas and Kansas.
The offense inked 18, including four offensive linemen, four running backs, two quarterbacks, six wide receivers, and two tight ends. Defensively, this year’s class included three defensive linemen, four linebackers, and nine defensive backs.
“It’s a great day to be a Bison,” said Jensen. “This is a testament to the culmination of hard work done by the coaching staff over the course of this year, as we’re excited about the 34 phenomenal student-athletes joining our family.”
Oklahoma Baptist is coming off their most successful season yet, earning a program-record eight wins and a victory in the 2021 Fun Town RV Heritage Bowl. Jensen will enter his ninth season with the Bison, as his team boasts a 16-game winning streak over Oklahoma Schools. The program recently produced its first All-Americans in the Division II era, as four were tabbed to the Don Hansen All-America team.
