Oklahoma Baptist and Bacone are a combined 5-1 on the season and provided the three players that received the Central States Football League weekly recognition this week.
There might be some momentum for renaming the CSFL Special Teams Player of the Week the Trey Tully Award. Â All the freshman has done since starting his playing career is win this award. Â This is the third consecutive week.
Tully accounted for 11 of OBU’s points with a field goal and eight PATs as the Bison won 59-7 over Missouri Baptist.
Teammate Dawson Myers had 1oo yards rushing and a touchdown on his way to being the Offensive Player of the Week. Â It is the second week in a row for Myers to have a 100-yard rushing game with a rushing TD.
Bacone’s Keshaun Malone grabbed the Defensive Player of the Week honor. Â Although BC had it first loss of the season, the senior had 20 tackles, which included a sack and two takcles-for-loss, and an interception, his fourth of the season.
This makes back-to-back weeks for Malone to be named the league’s Defensive POW.
