OU and OSU remained in similar spots in the AP Top 25 football poll released on Sunday.
Oklahoma (4-0) took down West Virginia in Morgantown, 45-33, on Saturday, but remains at No. 4. Â The Sooners; team performance was strong enough and individually there were players that grabbed attention.
Semaje Perine earned Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for his performance. Â He picked up 242 yards on 34 carries and scored four touchdowns.
Alex Ross also got in on the conference honors as he was tabbed Special Teams Player of the Week. Â Ross ran back a kickoff 100 yards for a score.
Oklahoma State (2-1) used a bye week to move up one spot. Â OSU is ranked 24th in this week’s poll.
And one of the pollsters said he thinks the only reason the Cowboys are in it at all is because of a loss.
OSU hosts Texas Tech on Thursday night and OU travels to TCU on Saturday afternoon.
