Bacone defensive back Alex Wilson was tabbed the Central States Football League Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Oklahoma Panhandle on Saturday.
The Warriors lost, 37-27, to the Aggies, but the junior had two interceptions, one of which was returned 60 yards for a touchdown. Â Wilson also had six tackles on the day.
It marks the third consecutive week a member of the Bacone defensive unit has brought the weekly honor back to Muskogee.
Justin Browley earned the award last week, hauling in three interceptions against Texas College.
KeShaun Malone had 15 tackles two weeks ago at Division II Southeastern.
