The NAIA Women’s Division I National Tournament got underway this morning at 8:30 a.m. The No. 1 and top seed Oklahoma City Stars played not long after that and took care of business quickly.
OCU dispatched Our Lady of the Lake University, 91-73, in the first round game. Lauren Gober led the way for the Stars with 24 points, including four 3-pointers.
No. 7 Rogers State upset No. 7 Cumberlands, 80-73, in the final game of the day on Wednesday. It was the Hillcats first-ever tournament win.
Logan Froese had 27 points for RSU and three teammates also scored in double figures.
