• No. 9 Rogers State advanced to the NAIA quarterfinals Friday morning.  The Hillcats defeated Evangel, 69-63.
Donald Williams had a big morning for RSU, who trailed by 13 early in the contest. Â Williams had 23 points and was 4-10 behind the arc, with two clutch 3-pointer coming in a Hillcat rally to make things close before the half.
Brian Gibson was the only other Hillcat that scored in double digits, but nine RSU players put points on the board.
Rogers State will next meet Shorter (Ga.) in a game scheduled to tip at 2 p.m. Saturday.
• No. 2 Oklahoma Baptist took care of business against No. 15 Columbia (Mo.) on Friday evening.  The Bison won 69-57 in a game that stayed throughout until the final few minutes.
Emmanuel Wilson had a game high 24 points. Â Deangelo McIntosh and Heath McKay had 13 and 12, respectively, for the Bison.
OBU next faces Biola (Calif.) in a quarterfinal matchup. Â Scheduled tip time is 6 p.m. Saturday.
