LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Southwestern Christian University defeated Central Baptist (Ark.) 78-69 to win the NCCAA Central Region championship Saturday at CCU Event Center.
With the win, the Eagles punched their ticket to the NCCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championships March 16-19 at Grace College in Winona Lake, Ind.
James Still led the charge with a game-high 31 points and 10 rebounds. The senior center added two assists and two blocks and was perfect from the free throw line on the night.
Marvin White followed with 29 points and three boards. White made four 3-pointers in the game.
Gabi Laurent added eight points and seven rebounds. Shawn Scott finished with seven points and six rebounds.
Brackets and seeding for the NCCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championships will be announced Sunday.
