OU, OSU show up in first CFP Rankings

Both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State earned a spot in the top 25 of the season’s first College Football Playoff Rankings of 2016.

With identical records of 6-2, the Sooners at No. 12 and Cowboys at No. 18 were two of the three Big 12 teams to make the list. Baylor came in at No. 17 and is 6-1 on the year.

It should be no surprise that defending national champion and undefeated Alabama (8-0) is at the top of the list. The other three in the coveted top four spots are No. 2 Clemson (8-0), No. 3 Michigan (8-0) and No. 4 Texas A&M (7-1).

The rankings will be posted each Tuesday for six weeks through the remainder of the regular season.
