The 2017 Class 3A basketball area tournament games begin on Thursday, Mar. 2, with consolation bracket contests on tap all the way through today. There are 16 girls’ teams and 16 boys’ teams to enter the day’s activities and eight of each will keep hope alive for a state title when the night is done.
