Emily Watson put on a solid performance in the circle Tuesday night to lead her team to a win over an in-state rival.
Tulsa stepped out of conference to take on Oklahoma State and came away with a 3-2 victory in Stillwater.
And in the process, Watson tied a school record with 17 strikeouts on the way to her 19th win of the season. She struck out the side four times.
It is the eighth win for Tulsa in the last nine matchups with OSU.
Watson is now 19-3 on the year and the Golden Hurricane moved to 25-11 on the season. Tulsa sits atop the Ameican Athletic Conference standings at 5-1.
