This week’s Oklahoma college Players of the Week, presented by First United Bank, are Georgia Wall, OCU, and Will Price, OKWU.
Georgia Wall, sophomore, Oklahoma City (Marlow H.S.)
Wall picked up two wins and a save in three appearances during the Stars’ trek through the Oklahoma City Bracket on their way to another NAIA World Series. The sophomore earned a save (in Abby Meador’s win over Kansas Wesleyan) with no hits in 1.2 innings pitched in the first game and threw a no-hitter in OCU’s second win, 8-0, over Bellevue. Wall pitched 7.0 innings in the final game, closing out Simpson, 4-1, to advance as the Stars attempt to defend their title.
Will Price, senior, Oklahoma Wesleyan
Price provided the offensive firepower for the Eagles to help his team advance to the NAIA World Series. The senior hit .647 in four games of the Bartlesville Bracket (11-for-17) and hit five homeruns while driving in 12 RBIs. Price scored 10 times himself and had no errors in left field. OKWU returns to Idaho for the second time in four seasons.
