• And the standard bearer in college football for the state of Oklahoma nearing the halfway point in the season is… the Tulsa Golden Hurricane!
Congratulations to Coach Blankenship and TU, who have compiled a 5-1 record and are 3-0 in Conference USA. The lone loss for the Golden Hurricane was the season opener to a pretty good Iowa State team (4-1), and TU has rattled off five consecutive wins since that time.
• In the meantime, the 13 football schools in the Sooner State have had a tough time with schools from the bordering states. Here’s a breakdown of how they have fared:
