WEATHERFORD – In advance of the Harlem Globetrotters upcoming performance at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center, Globetrotter Zeus McClurkin was in Weatherford on Monday morning to visit the record-setting SWOSU Women’s Basketball team.
McClurkin put his trick shooting and ball-handling skills on display alongside SWOSU’s All-American guard Hayden Priddy and fellow Lady Bulldogs Tyra Aska, Bethany Franks, Taylor Hedrick and Dovile Strimaitye. Great American Conference Coach of the Year Kelsi Musick and Assistant Coaches Cophie Anderson and Nina Gregory were also in attendance for the visit. SWOSU is coming off the program’s best season as an NCAA institution, in which they finished as the Division II National Runner-Up with a record of 35-2.
“Today was such a fun day for the Lady Dawgs to work on some trick shots with Zeus,” Musick said following the visit. “We appreciate the opportunity to meet with one of the famous Harlem Globetrotters and we hope that everyone comes out to the Pioneer Cellular Event Center next week to enjoy their show!”
The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters will bring their Fan-Powered World Tour to the Pioneer Cellular Event Center on Wednesday, June 19, at 7:00 pm. For more information about the show, visit harlemglobetrotters.com.
