Oklahoma and Oklahoma State remain in the top 20 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 women’s basketball poll.
Each team played only one game last week and each won. Oklahoma State defeated Stephen F. Austin, 85-41, while Oklahoma held on to beat North Texas, 71-68.
Oklahoma (8-1) moved up one spot to No. 12. OSU (6-0) stayed steady at No. 16.
However, the biggest news of the week for either team was the injury to OU senior Whitney Hand, who injured her ACL in the win over UNT.
Oklahoma State owns the nation’s longest winning streak. The Cowgirls have won 12 straight, dating back to last season’s run through the WNIT.
OU has won seven in a row.
