LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After receiving votes in the preseason poll, Rogers State softball checked in at No. 14 in the first National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 Poll of the 20222 season, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Off to their best start of the Division II Era, the Hillcats sit at 10-1 after the first two weeks of the season with wins over No. 9 Angelo State and No. 15 Oklahoma Christian. This past weekend RSU went 5-0 on the first weekend of the Edmond Regional Festival with wins over Southwestern Oklahoma State, Southern Nazarene, No. 15 Oklahoma Christian, Midwestern State and Cameron.
The Hillcats are currently the highest ranked team from the MIAA ahead of Central Oklahoma (No. 16).
RSU will be back in action this weekend as they return to Edmond, Okla. for the second weekend of the Edmond Regional Festival.
