The NAIA Baseball Coaches’ Poll that was released Tuesday had Oklahoma City at the top of the list.
OCU (37-8, 15-3 SAC) garnered 15 of 21 first place votes and got 588 total points in the poll to take the No. 1 spot after being ranked second in the previous three regular season polls.
The Stars have won four straight – a sweep of then-No. 5 Lubbock Christian in a big conference series.
Rogers State and Oklahoma Baptist were also in the Top 25 Poll.
RSU stayed steady in the No. 15 spot. The Hillcats are 30-13 overall and 14-6 in the SAC. RSU also picked up a big win over NCAA Division II Northeastern State at Tulsa’s ONEOK Field on Tuesday, defeating the RiverHawks, 5-2.
OBU fell one spot to No. 20. The Bison are 33-13 and 12-8 in league play.
Oklahoma Baptist travels to Chickasha on Thursday to take on the USAO Drovers, who received the votes in the latest poll that would rank them at No. 27.
