Raphael Bonelle started this week making headlines on a conference and national level.
The junior from Mid-America Christian was tabbed not only the Sooner Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, but also the National Christian College Athletic Association Student-Athlete of the Week for Soccer.
This comes on the heels of Bonelle’s performances in MACU victories over Oklahoma Baptist and Johnson and Wales. He had five goals and one assist, which included a hat trick in the 5-4 win over conference rival OBU.
Bonelle is continuing to play strong this week as well. He put in three goals against Texas Wesleyan on Wednesday, giving him 13 on the season, a new season scoring mark for the Evangels.
MACU is now 8-3-1 and in a tie for fourth in the conference.
