From SWOSU Sports Information
The SWOSU men’s basketball team was held to 34.5% (19-of-55) shooting on Saturday (Jan. 19) and were defeated by Ouachita Baptist 58-52. The loss drops SWOSU to 7-8 (6-3 GAC) on the year and could potentially drop the Dawgs from the top spot in the Great American Conference standings, barring the results of games late Saturday.
The 52 points ties the Bulldogs season-low, two nights after they set a season-high in points with 90 against Henderson State. Rod Camphor led SWOSU with 12 points, while Thomas Davis and Dominick Cornelius each added nine. Davis also added a game-high seven rebounds.
Ouachita Baptist (8-7, 4-5 GAC) was led by 17 points from Eric Braeuer and 15 from Colt Fason.
SWOSU will be back in action at home on Thursday (Jan. 24), hosting Southern Nazarene at 7:30 pm from Rankin Williams Fieldhouse.
