Oklahoma State moved up to No. 5 in this week’s AP Top 25 Football Poll, following a 49-29 win over TCU on Saturday.
The Cowboys (9-0) jumped seven spots to climb into the top five in the rankings, and with the victory over previously undefeated Horned Frogs, are a part of the national conversation about the College Football Playoff.
Oklahoma (8-1) moved up two from No. 14 to fill the vacant spot at No. 12.
Clemson supplanted Ohio State at the top of the rankings. The Buckeyes fell to No. 2 for the first time in 2015. Alabama was ranked third and Baylor was ranked fourth.
Oklahoma travels to Baylor this Saturday for the next big game on the Big 12 slate in November.
