The NAIA preseason poll was released Monday with two Oklahoma schools earning recognition in the top 20.
The Northwestern Rangers, also selected as the preseason favorite in the Central States Football League, came in at No. 13 in the national poll. NWOSU were 8-3 in 2010 and was the CSFL champion.
Southern Nazarene is in the poll at No. 19, the highest ranking ever for the Crimson Storm. SNU was 7-4 last season and was picked to finish second in the CSFL.
Defending national champion Carroll (Mont.) opens 2011 in the top spot. It is the sixth time since 2003 that the Fighting Saints have been ranked No. 1 in the first poll.
Langston also made the poll among the others receiving votes.
