Oklahoma Baptist gets to be the new kid on the block in the Central States Football League for only one year.
The CSFL has announced that Lyon College, in Batesville, Ark., has been accepted into the league as its seventh member.
Lyon is reinstating its football program following a 62-year break. (Sound familiar, Bison fans?)
Lyon College will have the smallest enrollment of all the schools at approx. 600 students.
OBU and Wayland Baptist are each entering 2013 as the first season in the league with newly formed programs.
Bacone and Langston are also a part of the conference, along with Southwestern Assemblies of God (Waxahachie, Texas) and Texas College (Tyler).
Langston was picked to win the CSFL this season; Bacone was tabbed to finish second.
Oklahoma Panhandle is an affiliate member of the CSFL for scheduling purposes, but can’t compete for the league’s championship.
