Oklahoma Wesleyan and Oklahoma Science and Arts had two of the best records in the NAIA in men’s soccer in 2015.
The two teams are ranked the top 20 in the 2016 NAIA Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Preseason Poll.
OKWU was tabbed fifth in the poll coming off a season with just one loss on the year at 20-1-1. Even with the one loss, the Eagles weren’t outscored in regulation or overtime as the defeat came in the second round of the NAIA national tournament in a shootout following double overtime that still resulted in a scoreless tie.
The Eagles were also picked to win the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
USAO is No. 16 in the preseason rankings. The Drovers were 19-3 last season, going undefeated in the Sooner Athletic Conference and winning the SAC postseason tournament as well.
USAO is also favored to win the SAC again in 2016.
