ADA – The East Central University women’s basketball team moved their winning streak to five games, with a 75-66 victory over Harding in Great American Conference action at the Kerr Activities Center.
Scoring
- First Quarter: 18-19
- The Bisons (8-3, 3-2 GAC) started the game with an 8-2 run in the first four minutes
- The Tigers (8-3, 4-2 GAC) then pushed back and tied the game at eight in the next 30 seconds
- The teams traded shots and small runs the rest of the quarter
- No team lead by more than three
- Second Quarter: 21-20 (39-39)
- Harding again came out strong, this time with a 5-0 run in the first two minutes
- ECU fought back to tie the game at 26, with 6:33 remaining in the stanza
- The Tigers followed with a 7-0 run to take a 33-26 advantage
- ECU led the rest of the quarter until the final shot by the Bisons tied things at 39
- Third Quarter: 19-15 (58-54)
- Both teams started cold, with no scoring until 8:12 was left on the clock
- The teams traded shots and runs until they were knotted at 50 (4:12 remaining)
- The Tigers then took control for good, using a 5-0 run in the next 1:30 minutes
- ECU led between 3-5 points the rest of the quarter
- Fourth Quarter: 17-12
- The Tigers kept pushing the tempo and pushed the lead to 10, with 4:23 left (68-58)
- ECU kept the lead between 9-12 the rest of the game
