RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – In preparation for the start of the second season of play in the Great American Conference, fans will have a chance to look back and make their voices heard as they will vote for each institution’s top moment from the 2011-12 athletic season on the conference page on Facebook (Facebook.com/GreatAmericanConference).
Beginning at 9 a.m. Monday with Arkansas Tech, Ouachita Baptist and Arkansas-Monticello, the top three moments of three GAC institutions will go up for vote on the Facebook page. Voting will last for 24 hours. On Tuesday, polls will go up for Harding, East Central and Southwestern Oklahoma State with the moments for Henderson State, Southern Arkansas and Southeastern Oklahoma State being decided on Wednesday.
Those moments that receive the top votes will be selected at the GAC Facebook Fan’s Moment of the Year for that particular school. On Thursday, the night play begins in the GAC in football, women’s soccer and cross country, those nine moments will make up the candidates for GAC Facebook Fan’s Moment of the Year. Voting will last through the Labor Day Weekend with a winner being announced on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
