Oklahoma Baptist extended its season-long set streak to 12 in sweeping Texas Wesleyan and 15th-ranked Kansas Wesleyan in the Lu Allen Invitational in Graham, Texas, Saturday.
After a tight 25-23 win over host Texas Wesleyan, the Lady Bison scored wins of 25-12 and 25-19. Kristin Pressley led OBU with 11 kills, followed by Skyler Strahm with nine and Carey Strong and Sabra Clark with seven apiece.
Strahm also had three aces, while Clark added 27 assists.
Defensively, Gabby Samuels led the Lady Bison with 11 digs while Tarah Derden had three blocks.
OBU then avenged its 2011 season-ending loss at Kansas Wesleyan with a 25-18, 25-18, 25-21 victory.
Pressley had 17 kills and Clark recorded 34 assists. Samuels had 16 digs and Pressley added 2.5 blocks.
Now 4-0 on the season, OBU plays an exhibition match at Arkansas-Fort Smith Tuesday before heading to Florida next weekend to take on No. 16 Madonna, Cardinal Strich, No. 6 Embry-Riddle and Olivet Nazarene.
