The Langston Lions were at the No. 18 spot in the final NAIA football poll for 2014. And that’s exactly where they will start 2015.
Langston, who was tabbed as the favorite in the Central States Football League again this season, is ranked 18th and is the only CSFL team in the national rankings.
The Lions finished last season at 7-5 and won their fourth consecutive league championship on their way to the playoffs.
Dwone Sanders starts his fourth season at the helm and junior quarterback Mark Wright, Jr. is back to headline the Lion offense.
Langston opens the season at home on Sept. 5, hosting the Lincoln Blue Tigers at 2 p.m.
