It’s not over for a few of the state’s fall sports programs who will be taking part this week in the National Christian College Athletic Association’s national tournaments.
The NCCAA is hosting the final round of its playoff system in volleyball, women’s soccer and men’s soccer – all in Kissimmee, Fla.
Oklahoma will be represented in volleyball by Oklahoma Baptist.
The Lady Bison were 23-12 on the year (14-2 in the GAC) and earned an at-large bid to the national level. OBU is the No. 4 seed in the tournament and will begin competition in pool play against No. 5 seed and tournament host Warner University (Fla.) on Monday at 1 p.m. CST.
Top seed Indiana Wesleyan and eighth-seeded Lincoln Christian University (Ill.) are also in this pool.
Mid-America Christian won the NCCAA Central Region championship and is 10-8-1 on the year. The Lady Evangels play host Warner, the sixth seed, in pool play at 6 p.m. CST on Monday.
No. 2 seed Houghton (N.Y.) and No. 7 seed Columbia International (S.C.) are also in this pool.
Southwestern Christian (16-7) was upset by Dallas Baptist in the NCCAA Central Region final, but accepted an at-large bid to the national tournament and will be the top seed.
The Eagles face Bethesda (Calif.) Monday at 1 p.m. CST. Southern Wesleyan (S.C.) is also in the pool with SCU.
Championships in each sport will take place on Saturday, Dec. 5.
