Two Oklahoma schools ranked among the top 10 in the first regular season NAIA women’s basketball poll.
Oklahoma City is holding fast in the No. 2 spot, the position it occupied in the preseason ranking. The Stars have played only three games, but are undefeated in those three, including an overtime win over then-No. 15 Xavier.
Oklahoma Baptist jumped 14 spots from its preseason ranking and into the top 10 at No. 9. The Lady Bison are 7-1 through eight games with five of those eight contests against opponents ranked in the preseason poll.
Mid-America Christian is also off to very hot start at 8-1 and are riding a seven-game winning streak. The Lady Evangels received votes in the poll and would be in the 28th spot, if the poll showed that.
