NORTH NEWTON, Kan. and STERLING, Kan. – Oklahoma City University topped the Bethel Thresher Invitational on Saturday at the Thresher Gym in North Newton, Kan.
The Stars led the competitive pom/dance competition with a 90.85 score, while OCU posted the top competitive cheerleading score with an 85.85.
Oklahoma City compiled its third score of 90 points or better in dance competition this season. The Stars tallied their second score of 85 points or more this season in cheer.
OCU meets Oklahoma State in a STUNT dual 6 p.m. Feb. 15 at Abe Lemons Arena. The Stars also face Oklahoma Baptist at 8 p.m. in a STUNT contest that night.
The Stars also hold STUNT competitions Feb. 16 at Abe Lemons Arena. OCU takes on Central Oklahoma at 3 p.m., then Drury (Mo.) at 5 p.m. Feb. 16.

Oklahoma City University turned in the finest scores of the Sterling Invitational on Friday at the Gleason Center in Sterling, Kan.
Oklahoma City had the best dance scores of the night with a score of 92.2 in a dual and 89.55 in competition against the other teams. OCU produced a score of 84.75 in cheer competition.
Ottawa (Kan.) recorded the second best scores in both cheer and dance. Ottawa posted a score of 75.78 in cheer and 71.25 in dance.
