This week’s Oklahoma college Players of the Week are Victoria Blankenship, OBU; Hailey Tucker, SWOSU; and Tre Evans, SWOSU.
Victoria Blankenship, junior, Oklahoma Baptist
Blankenship averaged 28.0 points per game and a double-double, helping her team to two wins last week. She scored 20 points and grabbed nine boards against Southern Arkansas and took it a step further with a 36-point, 13-rebound night against Arkansas-Monticello two days later.
Hailey Tucker, senior, Southwestern (Bartlesville H.S.)
The senior just continues to make her mark on the program and the conference. Tucker averaged 21.0 points per game in two wins, extending the Lady Dawgs’ winning streak to 17. She also topped the 2,000-point plateau in the process, adding to her point total as the GAC’s all-time leading scorer.
Tre Evans, junior, Southwestern (Edmond North H.S.)
Evans has been scoring at a tear all year, but hit a season high when he put in 45 and led his team to a conference win over Harding. The junior scored 34 two night before and had a two-game stat line of 39.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game.
