This week’s Oklahoma college Players of the Week, presented by First United Bank, are Sanja Vojnovic, OCU, Parker Johnson, ORU.
Sanja Vojnovic, junior, Oklahoma City
The Stars are off to a 3-1 start to open the season and Vojnovic is definitely doing her part. The junior has 136 assists through four matches and is averaging 9.7 per set. Vojnovic had 60 assists in a five-set win over William Woods on Saturday and is accounting for more than 94 percent of her teams’ assists so far on the year.
Parker Johnson, freshman, Oral Roberts
ORU won its first two matches with a 1-0 victory over Incarnate Word and a 2-0 win over Michigan State. Johnson was in goal for the entire contest against UIW and for the first half against MSU. He kept the sheet clean during his time and accounted for six saves through both matches.
