The Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles’ baseball team is off to a good start this season. Â The Eagles picked up their 26th win this season with a 7-3 victory Tuesday afternoon at Bacone College in Muskogee.
The win also gave coach Matt Parker his 100th victory at OKWU.
Rhett Acker improved his record to 5-1 on the mound. Â In six innings of work, Acker gave up three runs on seven hits and struck out five Bacone batters.
Avery Flores went 3 for 5 with two RBI’s while Will Price went 2 for 5 with a double, a home run and two RBI’s.
The Eagles are 26-5 and begin conference play as they host Bellevue University this Friday and Saturday. OKWU is ranked 16th in this week’s NAIA baseball poll.
