GOODWELL – The fall portion of the 2020-21 Oklahoma Panhandle State University volleyball schedule has been announced by Head Coach Julie Allen. The Aggies Fall 2020 portion of the split season, currently, will consist of seven games, four in Goodwell and three on the road.
Panhandle State is also expected to have a full slate of Sooner Athletic Conference games in Spring 2021, which will be announced at a later date. Due to changes dictated by the COVID-19 situation, the NAIA moved its fall sport championships to the spring of 2021.
The Aggies are scheduled to open the season on Tuesday, September 29 at Tabor College in Kansas. The Bluejays are members of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Next up is a home-and-home series with Arizona Christian University. The Firestorm will come to Goodwell on October 2, with OPSU making the return trip to Phoenix on Oct. 8.
Panhandle will then play four contests versus fellow SAC members, with each of the quartet of meetings serving as a non-conference match in the fall. OPSU will playing three-consecutive bouts at home, hosting regional neighbor Wayland Baptist University on Oct. 16 (Fri.).
That will be followed by visits to Anchor D Arena from Southwestern Assemblies of God University on Oct. 23 and Mid-America Christian University on November 6.
OPSU travels to SAC pre-season favorite Oklahoma City University on Nov. 13.
As with all things related to COVID-19, contests are subject to change and more games could be added. Everyone is encouraged to periodically check out the OPSU Athletics web site (opsuaggies.com) for updates.
