Today the OSN Spotlight, presented by Blackbeard Marine, shines on Breecia Crawford!
• East Central football
• Hometown: Roff, Okla.
• Played basketball and softball at Roff H.S.; plays softball at ECU
• Physics major expected to graduate May 2019
• Favorite teams and players: “While I enjoy all of my college teammates, my favorite teammates were my sisters and cousin on my high school teams.”
• Favorite sports moment – personal: “My favorite sports moment was being a top scorer in the area basketball tournament my sophomore year to advance my team to the state tournament.”
• Favorite sports moment – overall: “My favorite sports moment was watching Florida State defy the odds and win the WCWS. It was awesome to see a team that no one was betting on to come together and compete when it mattered. Not many teams have that figured out, but Florida State did.”
• What do you like most about ECU? “My school provides me with every opportunity to succeed academically. Advisors and professors are always pushing you and genuinely want you to succeed. The people I am around on the daily strive to be exceptional and encourage you to do the same. If I had gone anywhere else, I am not sure that I would have been academically as successful as I am.”
• Who do you most look up to? “If I had to pick someone I look up to, it would be my dad. He is strong, level headed, and encouraging. My dad is the true definition of a great role model, and I only hope I can live up to that one day.”
• Goals: “I plan on having a career that I love, a family unit, and true friends that I can always count on. Thanks to East Central, I found those true friends that last a lifetime, gained the education to start a successful career, and am allowed to be around my family. Right now, I am on the fast track to reaching my goals.”
