Today the OSN Spotlight, presented by Blackbeard Marine, shines on Lindsey McCauley!
• Southwestern volleyball
• Hometown: Fort Worth, Texas
• Early childhood education major expected to graduate Dec. 2018
• Favorite teams: Dallas Cowboys, SWOSU
• Favorite sports moment – personal: “Receiving my championship ring at the SWOSU sports banquet and one game specifically my sophomore year the team came together as a family and really started to click… I remember I had one of the best games in my college career and from then on everything continued to get better.”
• Favorite sports moment – overall: “When I was a part of winning the GAC volleyball tournament my sophomore season. It was honestly the greatest feeling I’ve ever had!”
• What do you like most about SWOSU? “My favorite part about SWOSU is the family-like atmosphere. I am thankful to be a part of a great community and I can say that Oklahoma has grown on me since I have attended SWOSU.”
• Who do you most look up to? “The people I look up to the most are my mom and my Mimi. They are my biggest supporters. It’s rare that they ever miss a game of mine and I have been playing sports since I was 5 years old. They are the hardest working women I know and they always put everyone before themselves.”
• Goals: “My personal goals are to travel and experience as much as I can before I settle down. I hope to one day have a family of my own. Professionally, I hope to find a job as a first-grade teacher after my semester of student teaching and go from there. I’m not sure what city I am going to live in yet… wherever life takes me!”
