This week’s Oklahoma College Players of the Week are Charity Fowler, OBU, and Jerrick Massenburge, MACU.
Charity Fowler, senior, Oklahoma Baptist, Great American Conference(Hometown: Asher)
The senior averaged a double-double in her final three-game stretch, one that saw OBU make it to the NAIA quarterfinals. Fowler recorded 17.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per game in the NAIA Tournament. She had 25 points in OBU’s triple overtime loss to Westmont and put in clutch three-pointers in both the first and second overtime sessions when her team trailed by four points to get the Lady Bison back in the game.
Jerrick Massenburge, junior, Mid-America Christian, Sooner Athletic Conference
Massenburge came off the bench and averaged only 17 minutes of court time per game through the three-game NAIA Tournament run for the Evangels into the quarterfinals. But in his time on the court, Massenburge averaged 12.3 points and four rebounds and went 11-of-12 from the free throw line. He led the team in scoring with 17 in the Evangels’ first tournament win – the first NAIA Tournament victory in program history.
