Players of the Week – Dec. 29, 2014-Jan. 4, 2015

The OSN Players of the Week as we turn the calendar are Ashlee Ferguson, Mid-America Christian, and Buddy Hield, Oklahoma.

Ashlee Ferguson, senior, Mid-America Christian

Ferguson averaged 27 points in two games at the ACU Firestorm Classic in Phoenix, Ariz, as the Lady Evangels went 1-1 to close out 2014.  Ferguson had 37 points against Northern New Mexico College, shooting 13-of-27 from the field and 9-of-15 from behind the arc.  The non made three-pointers tied her own school mark.   She is averaging 2.9 three-pointers made per game this year.

Buddy Hield, junior, Oklahoma

Hield helped his team come off a nine-day break after the record-setting blowout against Weber State to close out the non-conference schedule with a win as well as capture the first Big 12 win of the season.  Hield had a game-high 17 points and four rebounds against the Patriots and a double-double of 20 points and 10 boards against then-No. 22 Baylor.  Hield averages 16.0 ppg and 5.4 rpg for the season.
