The Northeastern State men’s soccer team closed the regular season with a 5-0 victory over Southwest Baptist on Saturday.
Senior Juan Peralta had two goals in the victory and fellow senior Adam Schmoker also had a goal.
The RiverHawks topped the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association standings at 11-0-1 and are the top seed in the conference tournament. Â NSU will face fourth-seeded Upper Iowa on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. in Olathe, Kan., at the College Boulevard Athletic Complex.
The MIAA men’s soccer championship will be on Saturday, Nov. 8, between the winner of the NSU/UIU and the other semifinal match between No. 2 seed Fort Hays State and No. 3 seed Lindenwood.
