WINONA LAKE, Ind. – Southwestern Christian University will move on to the title game of the NCCAA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship.
The Eagles defeated Central Christian (Kan.), 67-61, on Thursday.
SCU (20-14) was led once again by Shawn Scott, who put in a team-high 15 points to go with six rebounds. Casey Cole had 13 points.
The Eagles were only 1-for-13 from behind the arc.
Jubril Osagie put in a game-high 22 points for CCC, and went 4-for-7 from the three-point line.
It marks the second time in three years that SCU will play in the championship game. And the Eagles will face the same opponent they faced in 2016 – Emmanuel College (Ga.). Emmanuel won that contest two years ago.
The title game is set for Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center.
